Pre-Surgery Instructions
- Nothing to eat or drink after midnight the night before surgery (no gum, water, candy, cigarettes).
- No medicines after midnight unless otherwise instructed.
- No fingernail/toenail polish or jewelry.
- Someone must stay with patient the entire time.
- If the patient is under 4 years old, ask them to bring an empty sippy cup and the nurse will put juice in it for the ride home. If it is a baby, tell them to bring a bottle with whatever the baby eats so the child can have something on the way home.
- Someone from our office will call you one to two days before the surgery date and tell you the time the surgery is scheduled.
